Data Licensing¶

Government Data¶

Most data inputs are from US government sources (EIA, EPA, FERC, etc.), which should not be subject to copyright in the US under 17 U.S.C. § 105.

Third-Party Data¶

Hourly FERC demand data: Cleaned using techniques developed by Tyler Ruggles and David Farnham, and allocated to regions using methods developed by Catalyst Cooperative
Hourly generation profiles: Created by Vibrant Clean Energy and provided without usage restrictions
NREL ATB data: Available under NREL's standard data license

PowerGenome Outputs¶

All PowerGenome data outputs are released under the CC-BY-4.0 license.
